Installation Notes
- Before install, verify the cylinder bore is compatible with an OS 1.00 kit and prepare the bore to accept a 70.00 mm piston.
- Inspect the cylinder wall for scoring or damage; repair or chamfer damaged areas as needed before fitting the oversize piston.
- Lubricate the piston, rings, and wrist pin thoroughly before assembly; ensure ring end gaps are within manual specifications after install.
- Use a proper ring compressor to slide the piston into the bore without damaging rings or scoring the bore.
- Install the wrist pin and circlips with correct orientation; confirm clips are fully seated to prevent pin migration.
- Check all gaskets and mating surfaces; reuse or replace gaskets per service manual to ensure a proper seal on reassembly.
