The Chapman W240 Carpet is a trailed weed wiper for the selective application of herbicide to reeds, rushes, bracken, thistles and similar broad-leaved weeds on farmland and pastureland. This listing is for the Carpet roller model.

The carpet roller is manufactured from a dense, synthetic carpet material that holds and transfers herbicide directly onto target weeds on contact. The carpet surface provides excellent herbicide retention and consistent wipe coverage across the full working width. The roller is designed to last the lifetime of the machine, with the carpet material replaceable when worn.

A unique electric drive motor maintains the carpet roller at a constant 25rpm regardless of forward speed, virtually eliminating dripping whilst ensuring consistent herbicide coverage on target weeds. The 200mm diameter roller and tubular steel frame allow weeds to flow smoothly through the machine.

A 60 litre mounted tank, pump and hand lance are fitted as standard for supplementary spot spraying at field boundaries and awkward areas. Height adjustment is straightforward, with a working height range of 0–350mm. The IP67 sealed electronic control module is supplied as standard. Low ground pressure 19x7x8in turf tyres minimise the risk of herbicide transfer to the wheels and underlying grass.
