The Chapman T240 is a tractor-mounted weed wiper for the selective application of herbicide to reeds, rushes, bracken, thistles and similar broad-leaved weeds. Compatible with CAT 1 and CAT 2 linkage to suit most tractors. Available in two roller configurations — standard carpet roller or upgraded Tampico brush roller — selectable as a variant at the point of purchase.

A unique electric drive motor maintains the roller at a constant 25rpm regardless of forward speed, virtually eliminating dripping whilst ensuring consistent herbicide coverage on target weeds. The 200mm diameter roller and tubular steel frame allow weeds to flow smoothly through the machine.

A 60 litre mounted tank, pump and hand lance are fitted as standard for supplementary spot spraying at field boundaries and awkward areas. The IP67 sealed electronic control module is operated from the tractor cab and allows the application rate to be set precisely for the chemical in use. A purge function is included for easy cleaning.

The standard carpet roller is fitted with a high-quality thick-pile wool and polyester blend carpet, balancing liquid-carrying capacity and wear resistance. The upgraded Tampico brush roller is manufactured from natural Tampico fibre mounted in replaceable segments, allowing weeds to pass through the brush bristles for increased contact area and more concentrated chemical delivery in a single pass. The Tampico brush is designed to last the lifetime of the machine, with individual segments replaceable if damaged.
