The Chapman GT920 is a road-legal trailer designed specifically for towing Cornish Pilot Gig boats. IVA tested and approved. The single-piece main frame is fully welded steel, hot-dip galvanised as one complete unit for maximum structural integrity and corrosion resistance. The one-piece construction minimises trailer flex both laden and unladen, reducing the risk of boat damage and improving towing stability. The bow of the boat is positioned directly over the drawbar to reduce overall towing length and improve weight balance.

Four fixed keel rollers run along the centreline of the trailer with four variable height supports and two adjustable front bow blocks to ensure the boat is well supported during transit. Side supports are angled within the frame so they do not contact the ground when lowered to the loading position, protecting them from damage. Integrated 2mm galvanised steel mudguards fully enclose the inner wheel arches to prevent mud and water spray reaching the boat.

A twin axle configuration provides stability when the trailer is unhitched. 195/55 R13 road tyres allow smooth towing on public roads and easy movement across beaches during launching. A puncture-proof extra-wide jockey wheel is fitted as standard. Full LED lighting with side markers and sealed electrics are included throughout. Integrated lifting eyes are fitted for crane or hoist use.
