The Chapman FM Pro is a high-performance ATV flail mower available in 1.2m (FM120) and 1.5m (FM150) cutting widths, designed for the full range of topping and mowing tasks from dense rushes and bracken through to fine parkland topping. Powered by a Honda iGX800 25hp EFI V-twin engine with electric start, oil cooling and a 10 litre fuel tank for extended run times.
The FM Pro features a 360mm rotor dynamically balanced to G6.3 grade, running at 2,400rpm with forged hammer flails fitted as standard. Flails are designed to pivot rearwards on hidden obstacle impact, protecting the rotor whilst maintaining a consistent cut. The cutting deck is manufactured from Strenx high-tensile steel with 5mm cover and 8mm side plates, providing significantly increased structural rigidity whilst reducing overall machine weight. A double flyweight clutch ensures smooth, reliable drive engagement. Belt drive is via two BX41 cogged belts with an automatic tensioning system.
The FM Pro is the first mower in its class to feature SmartCut wireless controls, allowing engine start and blade engagement from the towing vehicle without trailing cables. The SmartCut system provides real-time monitoring of engine temperature, fuel consumption and service intervals.
Large 22x11x8in flotation tyres can be positioned alongside the cutting deck for towing or moved to the trailing position for close-edge work near fences, trees and field boundaries. The redesigned axle system allows operators to switch between positions in under two minutes.
