Installation Notes
- Reconnect battery power only after all mounting hardware is securely torqued and wiring is properly routed to avoid shorts.
- When mounting, ensure the plate sits flush against the bumper/frame and align all drill holes before final tightening.
- Plastic trimming may be required for certain model/winch combinations to ensure clearance; use a sharp utility knife or a fine-toothed saw with slow, steady passes.
- Route winch wiring away from moving parts and hot surfaces; use grommets where wires pass through metal or plastic to protect insulation.
- Use appropriate mounting hardware (bolts, washers, nuts) and thread-locking compound as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer and mounting kit guidelines.
- Test-fit the winch and roller fairlead with the bumper in place before wiring; verify there’s no contact with the frame, radiator, or body panels.
