1. Clean clutch sheaves thoroughly – Remove all old belt residue, dirt, and oils using isopropanol alcohol or acetone on a rag. Do not spray onto clutches. Do not use brake cleaner .

2. Check belt alignment – Must be checked/adjusted each time the belt is changed .

3. Install belt with lettering readable – Install so label text can be read right-side up .

4. DO NOT fit new belt with a lever – Risk of damage .

5. Perform heat cycle break-in – 3 cycles of 20-minute gentle riding (40–72 km/h, avoid hard acceleration) followed by 30-minute cool-down periods .
